NAMM'S INTERNATIONAL FASTEST DRUMMER CONTEST 2005 Summer Session
NAMM International continued it’s quest to find the ‘World’s Fastest Drummer’. This highly charged Interactive Event was a feature at this year’s Summer NAMM Session in Indianapolis, IN. The contest consisted of two categories, Battle of the Hands and Battle of the Feet, and was held each day at The NAMM Fastest Drummer Stage in The Indiana Convention Center. The top ten Fastest Hands and top ten Fastest Feet then competed in a ‘Finals Battle’ of both categories on Sunday, July 24th. This year’s Finals event featured an incredible performance by Mike Mangini as well as technical demonstrations, insight sessions and appearances by WFD Champions and World Record Holders.
The Battle of the Hands winner was Randy Briggs with a score of 1,021 Singles. Bradley Bloomfield placed second with 1,013 Singles while Jared Kalman placed third with 997.
The Battle of the Feet winner was Daniel Prestup (858) followed by Reno (815) and George Collard (772).

Very special appearances were made by the legendary Jim Chapin and Sabian's Lenny Demuzio, where WFD and the audience sang "Happy Birthday" to Mr. Chapin!
Jim was kind enough to lend a few tips to the WFD Champs and contestants!

Not scary enough for you? Well how about Mike's endurance record of 13,222 with the feet for 15 minutes? We already know...that's INSANE!
